Morrvahl Olbrecht - Custom Warscroll

Morrvahl Olbrecht custom warscroll for use in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. As featured in the Cursed City novel.

I’ve recently finished reading the Cursed City tie-in novel and one of the key characters is Morrvahl Olbrecht, a particularly shifty amethyst wizard. He’s a fantastic character, but I’ll save my praise for my upcoming book review. While Morrvahl doesn’t appear in the Cursed City boxed game per se, it’s possible to play as him using the character card that was made available exclusively with the limited edition and hardback version of the Cursed City novel.

This is all great stuff, but what if you want to field Morrvahl in your games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar? As far as I’m aware, Games Workshop haven’t produced a warscroll for him as yet, so I went ahead and made one myself! He’s essentially an amethyst battlemage with a few sinister new abilities, all of which are designed to reflect the way that the character is represented in the novel.

Morrvahl is frequently seen to drain his own life force to bolster his spell casting - a deficit that his staff, Gravebloom, attempts to correct by draining the vital essence from those around him, be they friend or foe. With the Life Unto Death and Leeching Tendrils abilities, you can recreate Morrvahl’s macabre approach to magic-based combat on the tabletop. His Soulstorm spell wreaks absolute havoc too, causing devastating damage indiscriminately to those around him in a tempest of deathly fury.

If you use this warscroll in your Age of Sigmar battles I’d love to hear about it - drop me a comment below!
